Seared Shrimp and Squid PDF Print E-mail

Seared shrimp and squid is a wonderful afternoon snack to go with a glass of wine or a beer.

Large Shrimp
1/2 lb Large Shrimp (shell on)
Squid 1/2 lb Squid
Lemon Lemon
Olive Oil Olive Oil
Sea Salt Sea Salt
Pepper Freshly Ground Pepper
Shrimp and Squid Seared Shrimp and Squid

Rinse off the shrimp and squid. Cut the squid bodies into 1/2 inch wide pieces. Coat the shrimp and squid with a small amount of olive oil.

Add the shrimp to a very hot skillet and cook until just pink (about a minute each side). Remove to a plate. Add the squid bodies and tentacles. Cook for thirty seconds on each side. Do multiple batches if necessary. Remove to a plate.

Sprinkle everything with salt and pepper. Juice the lemon onto the seafood and serve.
